MICRONEEDLING
WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?
Commonly known as Collagen Induction therapy (CIT), micro needling is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment that creates tiny micro-injuries I the skin's top layer triggering a natural wound response to reveal more youthful skin.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MICRONEEDLING?
There are a number of cosmetic effects that clients can anticipate from microneedling. Microneedling can:
Tighten, lift, and rejuvenate skin
Reduce the visibility of acne scars, surgical scars, and other scars
Minimize wrinkles and fine lines
Reduce the appearance of large pores
Improve overall texture especially for aged or damaged skin
Corrects hyperpigmentation
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR TREATMENT?
Your face will be numbed with a topical numbing cream so that you're comfortable. A handheld needling device is used to make tiny punctures in the skin, creating a micro-injury that encourages the body’s healing ability to produce new, healthy skin. The entire process take about 30-45 min
This procedure is done in a series of three to five treatments spaced four to six weeks apart.
WHAT IS THE RECOVERY FROM MICRONEEDLING?
You may notice mild to moderate swelling and redness following a microneedling procedure. Many patients compare this to a mild sunburn. This is temporary and should subside within a few days. Since microneedling is only minimally-invasive, you may return to your usual activities as soon as you feel comfortable. It is important that you protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays following a microneedling treatment, as it will be more sensitive to sun damage.
